InterAct Festival 2026: So Many Magical Moments!

The 16th annual InterAct Disability Arts Festival 2026 finished with the audience and performers dancing on stage.

This traditional end to the festival was a perfect celebration of the talents and achievements of our disabled community.

Large crowds flocked to the Corbans Estate Arts Centre in Henderson, creating a joyous vibe, clapping and cheering each act, and enjoying all the free arts and craft activities.

More than 300 disabled performers graced the Te Pou Theatre stage, making it Auckland’s largest arts event for the sector.

The art exhibition had some 50 artists contribute, and the mini-market saw stalls from a dozen disability service organisations.

Thankyou to the scores of volunteers, theatre staff and crew that make it happen.

What Is the

InterAct Disability Arts Festival?

InterAct is a 3 day festival that brings together people with disabilities from all over Auckland, providing an opportunity to perform on stage and showcase their talents. We also run workshops, including mural painting, arts and crafts, puppet making, hip hop dancing, clowning and face painting. We have an art exhibition, a mini-market, and a wearable arts parade. The festival is a good chance to try something new, meet new people and have a great day out!
