Heads in a whirl.(Glen Eden Playhouse, Glen Eden, Auckland 30 -31st October 2009) When the young people at Wow decide to put on a production of Shakespeare they find it hard to choose a favourite and instead opt for the three they most love- Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth and a Midsummers nights dream. Little did they know that in the process of rehearsing the production, the magic and mystery of A Midsummers Nights Dream would find its way into the lives they are living in 21st Century Auckland. What results is a playful, hilarious and sometimes surprisingly moving rendition of the bard. We had a fantastic time devising and rehearsing this play that played to capacity audiences at the Playhouse in Glen Eden.
